Tip: Remind your student that the number he is recording in the quotient is the number of equal groups, and the number left over.

Then have your student read pp. 446–447 and complete the Independent Practice problems on pp. 446–447, #10–22 even, 23, and 24.

Tip: For Exercises 10 and 12, your student can use the spaces provided as guidance for recording the division algorithm. For Exercises 14–22 your student may still need some guidance, or he will be able to complete the division algorithm without assistance. You may wish to provide the spaces that need to be filled in to assist your student.
