Free Online Courses for Texas Students Now Available!
The Texas Virtual Schools Network (TxVSN) has approved a catalog of select online courses for students throughout the state. Texas high school students can now enroll in National Connections Academy online courses offered by the Alief Independent School District through TxVSN. These courses can be used for enrichment, special interest or credit recovery. Because the courses are approved by the state, students receive credit toward advancement or graduation.
If your school is a DLD-participating school, these courses are available at no cost to you (it is important that your student completes the course with a final grade of 70% or higher).
Simply follow these step-by-step instructions to enroll in a course:
-
Step 1: Visit the TxVSN Web Site to view the catalog of courses and check to see if you are in a participating district.
-
Step 2: Review the courses offered by the Alief Independent School District.
-
Step 3: Contact your school’s TxVSN Site Coordinator (often a school counselor) to enroll.
Once the course is processed, National Connections Academy will contact you to assist you with your enrollment and log-in information.
If you are not in a TxVSN-participating district, you may encourage your school administrators to consider the program and direct them to this information on the TxVSN web site. You may also enroll in these courses and more through the National Connections online private school.
Please visit www.NationalConnectionsAcademy.com for more information about full-time and part-time options including all of the course descriptions and tuition information (standard tuition rates apply).

courses are used by more than 30,000 students each year.
